Bahá’u’lláh requests repairs to the aqueduct

As people in ‘Akká became more attracted to Bahá’u’lláh, they often came to seek His counsel. During one such visit, the governor of the city asked if he could render some service to Bahá’u’lláh. Bahá’u’lláh asked that the decrepit aqueduct that had once brought fresh water into the city be rebuilt and made operational. The governor immediately began the task and soon potable water was available once more.
